I started working with Tessa because I threw out my back while swimming. I use to swim religiously, doing intervals 2 miles a day, but something was off. Kicking was hard, esp breaststroke. I thought it might be Diastasis Recti. Tessa and I worked together online over zoom. She did a whole body evaluation, helped me measure my gap, identified dead zones, and came up with a conditioning program for me. We met for 45 minutes once a week and I was given 3 short homework videos every session. After 9 sessions I was back to swimming a mile with no symptoms. Tessa caused me to slow down and move more mindfully. Actually achieving better results. I stopped experiencing pain in my hips when I swam and was able to stay in a straight line even without a lane marker! Not only was my swimming improving, but also my bike riding, and my ability to stand all day working as a Private Chef. I now do my self check in’s daily, and kept going with sessions long after meeting my goals just because it felt so good to retrain my body!
